About the Bega Valley Business Forum Inc.
History
The Bega Valley Business Forum (BVBF) was formed to represent a unified voice for Chambers of Commerce throughout the Bega Valley and has achieved much since its inception in 2000. The Business Forum represents 5 Chamber members including Eden, Pambula, Merimbula, Tathra, and Cobargo . With a total of over 300 member these businesses represents around $150 million dollars in turnover.
The Forum has been successfully in existence for over 20 years and is credited as being the first and most successful example of a combined shire-wide business organisation in NSW. Chambers of Commerce play a very important role in our region, and all levels of government acknowledge the role that chambers play and look to them for input for any matters regarding business development. In recent year’s of devastating bush fires and pandemic restrictions, business support and networking has been more relevant than ever.
The Bega Valley Business Forum has a key goal of advocacy and building collaborative relationships with local, state and federal organisations, business and the community. Its focus is to promote issues of importance to economic and business development across the region
